Go live on Loop

Use Browser Web for a quick camera stream, or External Encoder for OBS, vMix, and multi-camera workflows.

5 minutes

Quick start

  1. 1. Open Studio and create a stream.
  2. 2. Choose Browser Web or External Encoder.
  3. 3. Add the stream to your layout.
  4. 4. Preview, then click "Go live".

Browser Web

Stream camera and mic directly from Studio. This is best for quick starts, laptops, and simple one-camera broadcasts.

  1. 1. Create a stream and choose Browser Web.
  2. 2. Allow camera and mic access.
  3. 3. Add the preview to your layout.
  4. 4. Go live when the preview looks right.
One Browser Web stream can be active per channel.

External Encoder

Use OBS, vMix, or hardware encoders when you need scenes, graphics, capture cards, or advanced audio routing.

  1. 1. Create a stream and choose External Encoder.
  2. 2. Copy the RTMP URL and Stream Key from Studio.
  3. 3. Paste them into your encoder settings.
  4. 4. Start streaming in the encoder, then go live in Studio.
ABR is available for external encoders to improve viewer reliability.

Layout + Go Live

Add streams to your layout, check the preview, then publish. Inputs can be streaming before the broadcast is live.

Multi-stream OBS

To send multiple OBS sources or scenes to Loop as separate streams, install Branch Output. Standard OBS sends one main program feed; Branch Output lets each source or scene use its own Loop stream key.

Required for independent OBS outputs: one Loop stream key per Branch Output filter.
  1. 1. Create one External Encoder stream per OBS output.
  2. 2. Copy each stream's RTMP URL and Stream Key.
  3. 3. Add a Branch Output filter to each OBS source or scene.
  4. 4. Paste one Loop key into each filter.
  5. 5. Start the filters, add active inputs to your layout, then go live.

Simple OBS setup

Use this when you want a standard OBS stream into Loop.

  1. 1. Download and install OBS from the official OBS website.
  2. 2. In OBS, create a scene and add your camera, mic, screen, or capture card.
  3. 3. In Loop Studio, create an External Encoder stream.
  4. 4. Copy the RTMP URL and Stream Key into OBS Settings → Stream.
  5. 5. Click Start Streaming in OBS, then preview and go live in Loop Studio.
